Article Writing – Poor Online Content that Irks You Most
Have you ever read an article on any website from start to finish, not understanding what the author is trying to convey to his or her readers? Or better still, may be you have never read such an article simply because you would have long given such articles the miss right after reading the first paragraph?
One source of comfort to you is if you already subconsciously know how you would react to a badly written article, you are already on the road to successful article writing.
Now let us determine What Irks You Most in an Article so that you Do Not commit such atrocities.
The Tone of your article can make or break your chances with your readers. Simply choose a monotonous tone and murder your readers with boredom!
Scattered Unfocused Content where there is no single proposition outlined to offer to readers that rants on and on, flitting from one topic to another is a sure success, in Losing readers!
Noisy articles or articles which are "too busy" with too much illustrations, pop ups and videos or even extensive list of external links on websites sometimes serves to drive readers away instead of keeping them on the site.
Superfluous Content not supported by legitimate claims that do not deliver serves only to capture the unsuspecting innocent readers. Such content are created to drive away repeat customers at best and is a surefire approach to invite subsequent customer complaints.
Disconnected information indicates disconnect between your title and the promise whereby the promise does not match the title proposition, hence giving rise to the Forever Undelivered Missing Link.
Lack of Language Proficiency which portrays bad grammar and bad spelling is obviously in bad need for a native language editor.
Abused Resource Box listing out the entire history of life achievement of the author, or almost all, all his websites etc are the best ways to pull your own last straw.
Remember that you have only 7 seconds to hold the attention of your readers . So make the best use of your seconds to ensure reader stickiness. Write what your readers want to know, not what you think they want to know. Be short, laser sharp and direct in your article writing.
I am sure there are many more on your list that irks you on bad content. So, having explored what irks you most in an article, simply do the Exact Opposite of what is listed in the above atrocities and you will be on the right track.
